So Thankful

I just wanted to clarify a big issue for me in my life that I have at this very moment. In the last blog post I touched on some difficult restrictions. I in no way meant to make anyone look bad. I was trying to help you understand some things I wrestle with. But I hope you realize my intent wasn’t to make anyone look bad. My intention was just to share some things I wrestle to understand. My husband Michael is usually God’s picture of grace to me. He helps me to see the bigger picture. He is always trying to help other people and I see a selfless servant that he is. He demonstrates truth and is very black and white about things. It’s something I’ve realized with him that he is very direct in how he handles things. God really knew what he was doing when He gave me Michael. He is such a great leader and he is so good with money. My parents and in laws have been...

Chains are Broken

Currently in my life I have some restrictions that are hard to deal with. One, I don’t drive. Two, I only get so much time on my phone. Three, I don’t get to use Facebook. (I love Facebook!) This last restriction will only take a few weeks to let up hopefully. Still, it gets hard sometimes because I know I CAN drive. I realize of course that these are momentary afflictions. I know they won’t last forever. I know I can drive again someday. I haven’t driven in over a year. It’s because of my medicines and sense of awareness that I’m not driving. I love driving! It’s hard. My time, 2 hours, on my phone I must deal with. It’s plenty of time anyway. I know… I KNOW God is using these restrictions to help mold me for His glory. I can “take captive every thought and make it obedient to Him.” I can choose to rejoice and realize...

Avoiding the enemy

Colossians 3:23-24 “And whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving,” I saw a sign once that read… Satan is mighty; God is Almighty. Let that sink in a moment. In our Christian lives day to day we give the enemy so much ammunition in different areas. “Oh I know I should believe in God to help me but I can’t. I’m too weak.” With God we can always win! I have two six year old active little twin boys. Sometimes it’s like “Man, will they ever run out of energy?” Right now they are sleeping allowing me to write this blogpost direct to you. All that energy must have a filter and that filter is sleep. But isn’t it true then that if we give more of ourselves to doing the work...

God is Not Finished with me Yet

The glory of God has come to dwell with men. I know God is using me to develop His purposes on Earth. His glory dwells in me. I can sing the Song of the Redeemed. I am on fire for the Lord. Can’t you tell? I love my Jesus and He loves me. The last few weeks have been challenging for me as my husband Michael has been in Peru. The boys and I stayed with my gracious parents in Palm Bay for the time he was away. We hope to join him this next summer for 1-2 months to continue the work Rick and Beth Heilman are leading out of Lima. The boys would be joining us for the duration of the time. Thanks for your prayers. The picture I chose was a key, because Jesus is the Key to life and living apart from Him is very challenging. True life is in His Name.
