So by now you should know that I (we) serve a gracious and loving God, right?
So, I have GOOD news to share with you about a new therapy I’ll be starting next week with TMS (Atlantic Psychiatry), a newer technology that my insurance WILL cover and will help me work through the “FEELINGS” of the depressive side of my disorder. So instead of getting new and sometimes worse meds slapped on me (thereby messing with my anatomy), I can learn how to cope… Dr. James Jacobson will be working with my psychiatrist (who we are both impressed with) but Dr. Gates (my psychiatrist) will now become more of a “drug manager,” and will work with Dr. Jacobson from here on out. I will sit in a chair and they will use magnetism to highlight areas of my brain that need help.
I have been praying for so many years for this kind of thing, but the timing has never been quite right for this big of a step. BUT, we serve an on-time God (and sometimes a surprisingly), AMAZING God too, don’t we?
SO I don’t want to make this long and drawn out, but suffice it to say we are VERY pleased with this step. I think of so many who have been praying for this kind of step for many years! To find the right mix of meds that will help me and not simply slapping on more meds and changing more variables in my anatomy, so to speak!
So keep praying for my FIRST session next week! Tuesday or Wednesday.
A shout out to Olivia Lodi and Tio Halito and Aunt Chris, my family and friends and Church. So many more reasons do I have to rejoice and be glad that I was once a pauper, but HE has made me a Princess, Daughter of the RISEN King.
