And now just as you trusted Christ to save you, trust Him too, for each day’s problems; live in vital union with Him. Let your roots grow down into Him and draw your nourishment from Him. See that you are growing in the Lord and become strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with joy and thanksgiving for all He has done.
Colossians 2: 6-7
This is the God we are privileged to serve! The God who chooses to let me be apart of what He is doing. The God who loves me so intricately and beautifully; a God who writes love notes to me all day from the sky. He has never and will never give up on me. And oh, just the way He is with me! He calls my name, ever so softly to Himself, always seeking me out so we can be together, just abiding in Him. He truly is Lord!
These last few weeks have been so wonderful! Well we all know life happens, but just… Coming back to His arms of love that are always open wide for me! The other morning He was telling me “Becky, you are my masterpiece. I am here for you. You are here for me. ” Guess what that means? It means that no matter where I go, what I do, or what situation I find myself in, I know that if I relax back into the Almighty arms that made me! He will hold me tight when I need a Friend, He will wipe away every tear, and He will catch me when I fall. He is pleased!
You invite me into Your presence. You want to be at my roots! At my core. Just flowing out of my heart and daily as I seek Your presence in my life. This means that He must be at the forefront of everything I do. The road has been so hard and there have been so many rocky places, but the Hand that has guided me through is the same Hand that will see me through till the end. Till I see His face. And you know something? It’s totally worth everything to follow Him!
Think of it as a dance. You start out with small steps and, little by little He clasps your hands. As you put your trust in Him, He shows you how to be more in step with Him. As you keep going it doesn’t get easier, but it does get better because He takes your burdens on Him since they are easy and light.
In my mind I see this heavenly picture of God the Father embodied in the clouds. He appears as the perfect gentlemen showing me how to dance. He holds me close and, and, as I let Him, little by little helps me to dance more and more in sync with Him. As long as I keep His gaze, He will help me dance in unison with Him.
He leads the way and all I have to do… Is follow Him.
