Keep On Singing

Have you ever seen a caterpillar metamorphisize into a butterfly? Well I have, and I can tell you it’s a simple process with a few stages. First a caterpillar starts eating more and more leaves, getting fatter and fatter, then the caterpillar goes into his little shell where finally he becomes a butterfly. Today I was thinking about my life like that of a caterpillar. There are different stages, some frustatingly long and others not so long, but it can be maddening in transit. I do know, however, that I can trust the Hand that holds mine. That is so true! I know I can always trust Him, that He knows what He is doing, even when I don’t.

It is so easy to always ask for more, isn’t it? It’s a good idea to stay in communication with Jesus and it’s a great idea to ask for a clearer picture from Him. But if I can continually think of my life like one that is continually in a process, I can more readily accept where God has me, whatever the circumstance. This, my beloved readers, is called contentedness. Being satisfied with where I am in the process from point A to B is essential to life.

I’ve noticed with myself as of late my greatest weapon is my singing. I have also noticed that the more I dig deep into the heart of my Maker, the harder the enemy tries to interject himself into my head.  So you know what I do reader? I keep on singing. The enemy hates the name Jesus most of all. And whatever you do, just keep singing! I know God Himself will show you how to live in Him and how to defeat the enemy. Having a heart of praise is so essential to living in the light of eternity. One picture I got was me in this sticky shell, much like the caterpillar’s shell. As I looked, God Himself was churning me, uncovering me little by little. The end result I won’t see till heaven, but it is so good to know God’s not finished with me yet.

What is one area you need to entrust to the Hand of God that you have been holding onto?
