Run With the Prize in Mind

The saga to my life never ends. Limitations are a part of my life currently, and yet I’m always trying to see the light and wisdom of my restrictions. I realize why I need them, but I have to continue learning they are for my good. God is a good God. Plus if you surround yourself with the great people I have in my life, you know you can trust that they want your best in mind. Learning to be content in all parts of life is hard! But I have great family and a few friends that I do life with who cheer me on. Enjoy this piece!

Why O why must I rectify my hopeless situation? As if we still had more time to lose. Now I’m working 9-5 like I can earn my own salvation.

Searching, wanting, waiting for what? For someone to take my hand and walk toward the light. There is too much darkness in this world we call home. Why can’t we work together for the common good of seeing people come to Him with our smile, a hand shake, a tug in the right direction? The race isn’t won by the sprinter, but by the pilgrim, the sojourner, the traveler. Water he has drinkin’, storms he has weathered, and fire grips at his calves. But he doesn’t give up no matter what. Like a dog, he is at it again and again. He never gives up, but is relentless as he fails, but try again and again he will.

He spurs his friends on to love and good deeds. Not all who begin the race will make it to see the finish line, since some are all play and no work. If Jesus is what matters, and with Him as your Guide,  you can always win. We are on the winning team! Or have you forgotten? With that at the forefront, You CAN because He paved the way at Calvary. Suffering, rejection, and all payment for our sins was on Him as His Father turned His back.

You see? He IS joy. He IS peace. He IS Love. One day at a time Sweet Jesus. I know, through You, I can face any amount of suffering and rise again with a renewed perspective of You. I trust You. I love You with my life. Show me how to love You more.  Show me how to be more content and embody You. As I run, I seek Your smile.

Love you Abba Daddy, Amen
