Lately I’m running a marathon. All along the way there are warning signs and helpful hints at how to live a better life with no roadblocks. Sometimes I want to stuff my ears with cotton and throw out my arms and let Him guide me. Sometimes I get ahead of myself and those roadblocks keep me from slipping and falling flat on my face. Life is all about rhythm and blues, sometimes it’s great and I want to yell from the mountaintop. Other times I find myself crying through the pouring rain. Sometimes I want to sing and whistle contentedly as I mosey down the lane. Other times my tear drops fall through the cracks of the gutter and there is no one to mop up my tears. Friends are nice, but family is best to share real life issues and joys, triumphs, and sorrows and problems.
Jesus is IT, my All-Consuming Fire and He deserves all my love, triumphs and shortcomings-He is my Everything. So all my best moments are had with Him at my side, steering me through the blinding rain, helping me skip the roadblocks so I can be full on for Him. At no point is He surprised by my lack of foresightedness or my slips and tumbles. He is the I Am. He knows my cares and worries and loves me just the same. He is my Provider and Life Sustainer, my Jehovah Raffa, the God who miraculously heals and provides. He is my All consuming Fire. He is the ultimate Guide and He always leads me back to His heart.
Included I have two prayers for you.
Lord!
You are my One true Song, my One Treasure, and my Reward. I want to always do what You want, even when it hurts. Your sacrifice, Your Son, was such a big cost. The price was one I cannot imagine. I love You so much, Jesus. You are my Reward, my Treasure, my Hope. You help me defeat the enemy. This isn’t hard for you to do because you go before me and because You have already won the victory. The victory is ours.
Love,
Becky
Thank you for being patient with me as my time between posts has lengthened. I finally got the inspiration to write this afternoon. Enjoy! Be safe and remember to always let God be your Navigator. His map is so much better and more detailed than mine. Love you all!
Becky
