The King of My Heart

Let the King of my heart Be the mountain where I run The fountain I drink from Oh, He is my song Let the King of my heart Be the shadow where I hide The ransom for my life Oh, He is my song Oh how true the words of this song are! As we enter a brand new year, let us remember the God of our hearts. Let us remember all He has done for us individually and collectively. And isn’t it a wonder how His presence in our lives isn’t not only possible through the miles and span of time but definite? In our relationships let us be gracious, just as He is. In this New Year, let us be ever expectant to new cool beginnings and let us prepare for God to bless the socks off of us individually and our families as well. I don’t want to make this long, but I just have to remind you of all God is doing in my life. He is my sweet sweet song. My knight in shining armor and my one true love....

The Song of My Heart

Oh Lord! Become my obsession. Be my ALL, the Lover of my very soul. Be everything I want. Everything I need. There is nothing I hide from You. You are it. Always protect my heart. BE MINE. You are so uniquely positioned to FIND me. Always and forever, my KING. You always have my best in mind. And still You choose to love me. Not only that but You choose to use me as a part of Your Almighty plan. You want me to love others as You love Yourself. Even with my children You show Yourself merciful. Trying to keep my voice down and act lovingly instead of reacting harshly is the key. When I see my sons, I see You. They are the apple of my eye. My husband is so loving too. I need to be more loving toward them all. This I know to be true. With my children, rearing them in the way they should go. The song of my heart is this: that Jesus would continue to love me all the days of my life and that...

Cool Beginnings

My faith goes on. It goes on and on and on. Like a tired runner or a refreshed athlete… This is my dichotomy. A cool dip in the pool or a fast turn down a windy slide are my favorite parts of today. This Christmas time has left me so refreshed with family and close friends it’s all I can do to sing out loud… Thank you family. Thank you family. Thank you family! You are such great guys and gals. Jesus is my rock and my fortress. In Him I do I put my faith and trust. I know I can always win if I put my life in His hands. I can run with Him, and be still too. Whether I’m washing my hands or laying down sleepless in bed, He is my Rock and Fortress. I cannot believe how good He is to even me. And now here is today’s journal entry. God! How excellent and mighty, true and just are Your ways. You are so beautiful and I love serving You. Take my life and let it...

Hope is Alive in Me

The sun rises. The sun sets. People go about their business. People die, others are born. What does it all mean? Is there any hope that there is more to this life than the motions we go through? Without love, it is all meaningless under the sun. So what is hope then? Hope is this: a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen or trusting something to happen. So is youth wasted on the young? Is there hope that there is something more to this life than all the motions we go through on a day to day basis? My answer is YES! A thousand times yes. God is intertwined in everything we do. All the tasks we do, all the homework and lesson plans, grocery lists, spreadsheets, and anything else I didn’t name. He is always there, wanting to be a part of our lives and an integral role in our day to day lives. He wants to be a part of our lives a to z, beginning to end. So I...

Pictures of Love

Have you ever received encouraging words from someone or a nice compliment? I have and I am here to tell you it is so good to be encouraged. Well I have mentioned but maybe you need a refresher. I get pictures from God to help remind me of His love or how to solve an issue or problem I am facing. Enjoy! Vision My son Mark putting on rock climbing gear in heaven. Helping me with mine. My mighty warrior! Jesus is so evident in everything I say and do. He is so good. So righteous and just and true. Vision Little girl pushing away her sadness and regret, getting new confidence in her countenance as she gazes at the Son. A new person emerges as she looks at the Son. Vision I grapple with the Word of God. Sensing Your presence, looking up from reading it, sensing a good luck token pressed in between my fingers. His Word is so rich with encouragement and love. Vision Seeing me go back in time...
